Week Six

Tiffany Roohani & Katie Shapiro

Katie Shapiro: What do you appreciate the most in your friends?

Tiffany Roohani: Humor.  If you've met my best friend Ruthie, you know exactly what I'm talking about.  If you haven't, then you're missing out on pure greatness and pain in your stomach from the infinite laughter.

KS: What is your present state of mind?

TR: Content with a side of butterflies.

KS: Your idea of misery?

TR: Losing a loved one.  It happened to me recently and it's a new type of pain I've never felt before.

KS: Your idea of happiness?

TR: Still on the quest for it, but when I find it I'll let you know.
Does the Lakers winning the Championship count?

KS: What is your favorite place to be in Los Angeles?

TR: Presently,
For Solitude:  Lake Shrine
For Exercise: Elysian Park hikes
For a Date:  Speranza
For Music:  McCabes Guitar Shop
There are so many gems in LA, I could go on for days.  I feel extremely lucky to call it my home.

Tiffany Roohani: What is your present state of mind?

Katie Shapiro: Cluttered and shifting.

TR: For what fault have you most toleration?

KS: Self-doubt. I think it's something that holds people back, myself included, but is hard to combat.

TR: If not yourself, who would you be?

KS: I think if I were to be somebody else I'd be a social worker or a mid-wife, some line of work that helps people. Sometimes when I feel I've chosen a selfish path, I wonder what it would be like to be totally selfless.

TR: Your heroes in real life?

KS: My grandfather Harold is my real life hero.  He built himself from the ground up and became a very successful person.  He was always moving forward in spite of hurdles or bumps in the road.  He was a self-made man who I have the utmost respect for.

TR: What is your favorite time of day?

KS: The late afternoon, early evening is my favorite.  The light and air feel best then, the work day is ending, and I am most calm.
